How does in-home tutoring in Plano work?

We come to your home in Plano. Sessions happen at your kitchen table, living room, or dining room: wherever your student studies best. Each session runs 1 to 2 hours. What’s a realistic ACT or SAT score gain at a competitive school like Plano West?

It depends entirely on the student: starting score, target schools, time before the test, and consistency between sessions. After the diagnostic, we set evidence-based, student-specific goals. We don’t publish “average” point gains because every student is different. Plano West students often start at higher scores than the national average, and that changes what meaningful improvement looks like.

When should my Plano student start ACT or SAT prep?

We typically start 2 to 3 months before a student’s first official test date. That gives enough runway to learn the test, build strategy, and run full-length practice sets without burning your student out.
